Boston Children?s Health Physicians, L.L.P., a large academic multidisciplinary pediatric group located 25 miles north of New York City, is currently recruiting for a full-time Academic Pediatric Hospitalist position with the Pediatric Hospitalist team at Maria Fareri Children?s Hospital (MFCH) at Westchester Medical Center, located in Valhalla, NY. MFCH is a large regional tertiary academic children?s medical center with a level I trauma service, level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, level I Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Emergency Department, and NYS DOH recognized child abuse and sexual abuse regional centers.
The Pediatric Hospitalist team is well-established at the medical center and works very closely with all subspecialty and surgical services. The Pediatric Hospitalist service provides 24/7 in-house attending physician coverage consisting of weekday, overnight and weekend coverage. There is no newborn nursery or delivery coverage. During all shifts, the hospitalists lead a team of pediatric residents, medical students and pediatric nurses in a family-centered approach. All positions involve resident supervision, medical student and resident teaching. Administrative quality improvement and clinical research opportunities are also available. Full-time faculty will receive an academic appointment at New York Medical College, with opportunities for academic advancement. Preference will be given to candidates with outstanding clinical skills, experience in pediatric inpatient care, and board certification/eligibility in Pediatric Hospital Medicine.
Salary: $190,000 - $210,000, negotiable based on experience.
Minimum requirements: Board certified or eligible in Pediatrics, active unrestricted NYS license, DEA and PALS certification.
