Full Job Description
- Procure carrier capacity to support the North Division
- Build carrier partnerships to influence rate adherence
- Optimize the carrier footprint for the North Division
- Support PBNA operating businesses
- Assume ownership for financial forecasts and analysis related to the Transportation cost center for carrier activity that directly impact P&L performance for the Division
- Manage route guide adherence to deliver carrier rate plan
- Develop effective relationships with carriers to procure Transportation capacity
- Develop effective relationships with internal customers (i.e. sales, logistics, plant, satellite, warehouses etc.), and external customers (i.e. co-pack partners, third party warehouses, sales order customers etc.)
- Provide local interface and direction for carriers on issues across multiple sites
- Provide support to multiple locations on Transportation matters including, but not limited to: identification and achievement of assigned productivity/cost improvement targets; carrier capacity planning; detention reduction
- Assist in the development of and implementation of transportation programs that provide for continuous improvement
- Instruct and train all carriers assigned to PepsiCo volume in quality, service, and safety requirements
- Coach and mentor dotted line peers in Transportation tools and reporting
