Performs a variety of duties according to the functional work area. Cargo Customer Service Agents work and communicate directly with the customer both face to face and over the telephone. They utilize various cargo and system computer programs used to book, accept and track cargo along with other relative cargo operational applications. They will also prepare and process shipping documentation, both domestic and international, as needed to meet industry, company and government requirements. CCSAs will work in a government regulated environment and will be required to work and cooperate with various government agencies to include the FAA, TSA, US Customs the USPS and the USDA. Cargo agents lift, load, unload and transport cargo and mail to and from the aircraft. Duties also include operating ground support equipment such as tugs, forklifts and tow tractors. They are subject to shift work and working weekends. Requires office, warehouse and outside work. Previous customer service, cargo and warehouse operations experience preferred. Must pass the PAT (Physical Agility Test). Must have a valid driver's license Must pass all government background checks Must successfully complete relevant training classes. Should have excellent oral and verbal communication skills. Must be able to effectively converse with cargo customers in a direct customer service environment. Must be able to comprehend detailed job instructions Typing and computer proficiency are strongly preferred. Must be able to perform assigned duties accurately and efficiently within given time constraints. Subject to shift work and working weekends. Requires office, warehouse and outside work. Must be able to perform essential job functions, including the ability to routinely lift at least 70 pounds. .
