Corporate Functions – Marketing & Communications

As part of this team, you’ll play a key role in helping Accenture execute its strategy. You’ll work with a diverse team of innovative marketing experts who focus on the following areas: global brand management and advertising; global events and sponsorships; internal communications; marketing research; media and industry analyst relations; corporate and financial communications; internet marketing; recruitment marketing; client-centric marketing; and industry, service line and geographic marketing campaigns.

YOUR ROLE: Marketing + Communications – Cloud First Ecosystem Partners and Assets

The Cloud First Marketing + Communications, which is part of Accenture Technology, is responsible for developing and managing an integrated marketing strategy focused on extending the company’s leadership in cloud with Accenture’s ecosystem partners and through investments in deep industry capabilities and solutions, cloud acquisitions and talent Accenture Cloud First is a newly formed, multi-service group with a $3 billion investment over three years aimed at helping clients across all industries rapidly become “cloud first” businesses and accelerate their digital transformation. The Marketing +Communications team is responsible for imagining, spearheading and executing campaigns and programs that help create profitable growth and enhance our position as one of the world’s leading cloud companies. We are looking for a creative, content marketing and communications professional who can effectively influence and collaborate across Accenture. You must not only quickly understand, analyze and communicate technology innovations and trends, but be inspired by working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Position Description

Working as part of the global Accenture Technology Marketing + Communications team, the Associate Director – Cloud First Ecosystem Partners and Assets lead drives the marketing and communications strategy and crafts strategic external and internal programs in support of Accenture’s cloud partner practices and alliances and cloud assets. This leader will define a communications strategy aligned to the business strategy, with strong, differentiated messaging and programmatic execution to create a culture of believers and evangelists internally and externally in order to build talent, drive sales and support our growth goals.

This includes:
Strategic Planning

Develop the marketing & communications strategy to support the growth of Accenture’s cloud partner practices, working with other Marketing & Communications leads and appropriate business leadership.
Effectively team with partner companies’ marketing and alliance leadership to develop and implement joint marketing plans and refresh them regularly to keep our cloud partnerships and services at the forefront of the industry.
Work with Cloud First leadership to establish and communicate Accenture’s cloud asset strategy, including signature platforms like Accenture myNav and Accenture myWizard®, and other preconfigured solutions that help clients shape, move and operate their businesses in the cloud.
Work with Accenture’s industry and geographic Marketing & Communications teams, and other related teams across our business, to activate ecosystem partner and asset marketing plans in ways that are innovative, relevant and localized, and launch supporting sales campaigns.
Manage annual budget and demonstrating the ability to show strong ROI on programs. Managing all reporting across the programs.

Content Development and Campaigns

Create strategic messaging, including structuring a multi-faceted message platform, designed to raise perceptions of our cloud partner practices and alliance relationships.
Drive internal and external marketing content and campaigns to evangelize our key audiences: leadership, client teams, and our people; partner company leadership and sales teams; clients and other external audiences, such as industry analysts.
Align ecosystem partner and asset marketing to Accenture’s priority corporate content and thought leadership programs, demonstrating how we bring leading ideas to life in practice for clients.
Package all asset content and messages using the most effective and digitally enabled channels, developing the launch plans, and managing the internal and external communications to support the launch and marketing activities.
Oversee industry analyst reports and submissions, including the structuring of messaging and content, developing the reports working with key experts in the practice, identifying client references and managing the submission of all reports. Lead the development of the briefings, including structuring the messaging and content, preparing presentations, and coaching leadership to prepare for the briefings working with our industry analyst lead.
Work with sales leads to execute effective campaigns, targeting both internal and external audiences, and track effectiveness and ROI of the campaigns.
Write provocative, innovative and conversational content for website pages to support the thought leadership, new collateral and other areas. Work collaboratively with the Digital marketing team to drive new levels of engagement and innovation while keeping all pages fresh and relevant.

Internal Communications

Lead internal communications and craft the development of a targeted plan, to include executive communications, for Accenture’s cloud partner practices including webcast appearances, videos, leadership announcements, employee and operational communications. Drive relevant programs and communications activities based on hot topics and creative relevant slices of content for the various areas of our business.
Oversee messaging on all channels to maintain precision, high quality and consistency.

Event Marketing

Bring strategic leadership to the execution of high-profile partner events and related content management, such as AWS re:Invent and Google NEXT, teaming with our event program leads, . to achieve the best ROI.
Ensure effective execution of event tactics, client and alliance engagement and sponsorship investments.
Balance strategic thinking and planning with the ability to “roll up your sleeves” and provide program execution across events, and content and asset development.

Social Media

Oversee a robust social media program to drive strong share of voice and to position our senior business leaders. Proactively seek new channels and innovative ways to share our stories to keep current of social trends.
Write, edit and review blogs, social posts and other content required for the social channels. Ensuring consistency and accuracy of Accenture strategic marketing messages across various social channels and programs and ensure Accenture’s social media policies are adhered to.
Analyze results to gain insights and improve our overall digital marketing program.

Sales Support and Relationship Management

Help manage the global marketing relationship with cloud partner companies and execute against the marketing strategy, while orchestrating resources from Accenture.
Develop and execute global campaigns that drive brand awareness and demand-generation activities in support of the cloud partner practice goals, collaborating with and rallying colleagues across our team, key businesses, geographies and industry marketing teams to ensure cross-pollination of ideas and roll out of key marketing programs and strategies across the company.
Collaborate with other business unit leadership including sales, alliances, solution management and others to develop go-to-market plans and high-performing marketing programs that are scalable, repeatable and capable of being deployed globally.

YOUR EXPERIENCE: Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, prefer in marketing & communications, journalism or related
Minimum of 15 years’ experience in marketing and communications, preferably with some experience in the technology and/or cloud industry; experience in applying marketing concepts; branding and message development skills
Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing joint marketing programs and plans with a partner company and/or experience with software product or service marketing with demonstrated ability to design, implement and measure multi-faceted marketing plans and programs
Excellent Digital, Social Media and PowerPoint skills

Professional Skills

Proven ability to provide deep and original thinking about complex issues and make them easily understood by a broad audience
Strong written and oral communication skills. The ability to present and communicate ideas clearly and persuasively at all levels to multiple audiences
Strong organization, program and time management and content development skills, with a demonstrated ability to meet milestones, meet tight deadlines and communicate status on concurrent projects
Excellent negotiation, influence, mediation, conflict management and executive stakeholder management skills
Bold creativity and a passion for new, futuristic technology trends and content, and ability to continuously learn
Personal flexibility to work virtually, in the office (post COVID) or travel where and when required. Willingness to participate in virtual meetings outside of regular business hours to accommodate other time zones
