Medical Technologist or BS Scientist with LCMSMS Experience: Our toxicology laboratory has an immediate opening for a part time licensed Medical Technologist-Technician or Scientist with Chemistry degree. Our facility has a COLA-certified laboratory. > > This position is Monday, Tuesday & Thursday (8:00 am to 5:00 pm) with flexible hours days in the week. This is an opportunity to be actively involved in a specialty lab with continued technical and management career growth. Position offers exciting continual education opportunities with hands on testing. > >Tasks and responsibilities: > > Perform High Complexity testing using HPLC-LC/MS/MS Technology. > > Prepare urine samples according to the methodology protocol; which requires excellent pipetting skills. > > The ability to understand mass spectrometry technology, calibrations, quality control, and patient results. > > The ability to analyze and interpret urine toxicology results. > > Receive and process incoming specimens. > > Prepare reagents – calibrators and QC included. > > Perform testing procedures; report results. > > Perform quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting. > > Assist with inventory control and ordering. > > Assist with maintaining accreditation requirements. > > Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or Chemical, Physical, Biological Science and/or MT (ASCP or other certifying agencies approved by CMS) as well as one year of clinical laboratory experience. Mass spectrometry LC/MS/MS as well as HPLC experience is a must. Medical Technologist in an acute care setting preferred. Must be able to work independently, have strong problem solving skills and the ability to offer input for positive operational improvements. > >
