Supply Chain Senior Manager

Our Supply Chain Networks team helps clients transform their value chains into competitive weapons. We drive efficiency, improve flexibility, and increase responsiveness through proactive insights and decision-making. We advise, implement, and operate transformational solutions that bring world-class supply network and operational capabilities to our clients. We provide operational know-how, digital technologies, advanced analytics, and industry-specific hybrid solutions to deliver unprecedented client value. Additionally, we improve operations, product, and material flow across the breadth of the value chain and create greater supply network synergy and value through M&A events.
About our Synchronized Planning & Fulfillment Practice
Deloitte’s Synchronized Planning & Fulfillment practice works with organizations to determine the most effective strategy and practices for moving the required product to the required place at the required time. We help address issues such as distribution network strategy, logistics outsourcing strategy, sourcing of third-party logistics (3PL) service providers, logistics operating model, transport optimization, distribution operations and facility design, order to cash process optimization and transportation management systems.
Work you’ll do
Our Synchronized Planning & Fulfillment practice offers knowledge, skills, and experience to help companies plan and efficiently operate their networks globally while executing effectively at the local level. We work with companies to develop strategy, identify opportunities, and create innovative alternatives that provide supply chain improvement for shareholders and customers.
As a Senior Manager within our Supply Chain Team, you will:
Organize and deliver services on a cross-section of complex projects
Actively participate in the development of business and vendor relationships
Participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process
Design and translate the corporate mission into supply chain strategies to help our clients transform their supply chain capabilities
Drive competitiveness by reducing supply chain logistics complexities
Responsible for project(s) financials including development of financial plans
Manages day-to-day interactions with clients and internal Deloitte team
Displays both breadth and depth of knowledge regarding functional and technical issues
Displays leadership and business judgment in anticipating client/project needs and developing alternative solutions
Provide counseling/coaching, oversight, and support for delivery teams and staff
Actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities providing input and guidance into the staffing process
Focus on managed revenue targets as well as achieving quarterly or yearly sales objectives for new business
Lead business development initiatives to grow the Supply Chain team and the Consumer and Industrial Products Practice
Manage resources and budget on client projects
Review and prepare an analysis of promising private sector driven, high-impact energy projects and carry out preliminary due diligence
Deep demonstrated experience with logistics strategy, distribution network strategy, and distribution operations improvement.
Experience with transportation management and carrier negotiations, inventory management optimization and deployment.
Strong understanding of warehouse and transportation management systems evaluation and implementation support.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering.
8+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience
6+ years in a technical or functional lead role
Experience mentoring and coaching others
Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Experience managing senior-level client relationships
Experience presenting to clients or other decision makers to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
Pre-sales, proposal, and RFP experience
Willing to travel up to 80% (Monday - Thursday)
