Facebook seeks a highly motivated team player to join as Associate General Counsel in our Employment Law Group. This full-time position will report to an Associate General Counsel responsible for supporting our global sales and marketing organization and will advise on a wide range of employment law-related issues in that business. The role requires good judgment, a strong work ethic, and an interest in building relationships with cross-functional partners. Support HR on complicated hires, employee terminations, performance management, compensation, investigations, accommodations, reorganizations, and other employment-related matters
Collaborate with other attorneys, including international attorneys, in the Employment Law Group with respect to advice and counseling provided to HR and other cross-functional partners
Coordinate and drive completion of employment related projects, including internal process reviews, new policy roll-outs and implementation, and training programs
Manage the drafting and revision of correspondence, separation agreements and internal policies, and other employment related documents
Develop creative approaches to managing legal risks and resolving disputes
Participate in creation and delivery of trainings related to employment law matters, such as harassment training and other manager trainings on a variety of topics
Manage and drive strategy on pre-litigation and litigation matters
J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one US state bar
8+ years of experience in labor and employment law
Experience with state and federal employment law and advising and counseling clients on state and federal employment laws
Employment litigation experience and experience coordinating and driving projects to completion (including litigations)
California or New York Bar membership
Experience with California employment law
Experience with international employment issues
