Salary Range:$90,000.00 To 140,000.00 Annually

Position Summary:
As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and delivering control system projects. Your main tasks will include designing and specifying DCS/Logic Solver PLC components, developing system specifications and functional narratives, and participating in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for control system-related issues.
Education:
A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field is required, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Registration as a Professional Engineer is desired but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in the engineering and selection process of control systems for projects of various sizes.
- Engineer, design, and select overall control systems.
- Scope and detail the system philosophy for large projects.
- Implement company standards, procedures, and tools.
- Adhere to client and safety policies.
Core Competencies:
- Take technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments.
- Perform specialized technical work, including systems engineering, distributive and/or computer controls of processes.
- Establish basic design and specifications for control systems and associated instrumentation.
- Implement control concepts as required.
- Keep the Project Leads/Manager informed of scope changes and design deviations.
- Participate in overall control system design work, including installation drawings, logic diagrams, and vendor drawings.
- DCS:
- Perform DCS graphics, database, and configuration (preferably Honeywell, but other systems are acceptable).
- Familiarize with P&IDs, Logic Diagrams, Cause / Effect matrices, and Functional Narratives.
- Assist with cutovers/loop checks.
- Provide startup assistance and troubleshooting.
- Deliver operations and maintenance training.
- PLC / HMI Programming:
- Program PLCs (preferably Allen Bradley CLX and PLC5, but other systems are acceptable).
- Program HMIs (preferably PanelView and RSView, but other systems are acceptable).
- Familiarize with P&IDs, Logic Diagrams, Cause / Effect matrices, and Functional Narratives.
- Assist with cutovers/loop checks.
- Provide startup assistance and troubleshooting.
- Deliver operations and maintenance training.
- Safety System Logic Solvers
- Program logic solvers (preferably Triconex Platform, but other systems are acceptable).
- Program logic validation software (preferably Schneider Safety Validator, but other systems are acceptable).
- Familiarize with P&IDs, Logic Diagrams, Cause / Effect matrices, and Functional Narratives.
- Assist with cutovers/loop checks.
- Provide startup assistance and troubleshooting.
- Deliver operations and maintenance training.
