Vivint SmartHome is looking for a Learning & Organization Development Advisor to join the L&OD team.
Want to continue building your Learning & Organization Development (L&OD) skills? Do you enjoy measuring the impact of learning initiatives, supporting change & performance management, providing best practice ideas on instructional design and delivery? Are you eager to dig into leadership development, program design and facilitation of course content to a variety of audiences?
As the Learning & Organization Development Advisor, you will support the design, delivery and measurement for programs focused on building strong leadership and role competencies, people management skills, career development and system & policy application.
Some of what the role will entail:
Promote the mission and values of Vivint SmartHome through all internal and external customer interactions
Familiarize yourself with Vivint SmartHome services, products, functions and business units
Deliver onboarding, customer obsession, and leadership and skill development sessions / classes / programs independently or in collaboration with other trainers
Provide timely and thoughtful input on L&OD projects and lead project workstreams as assigned
Create and link learning and development practices with critical company-wide initiatives (career pathing, leadership development, succession management, talent & performance management, building high performing teams, etc.)
Support the rollout and administration of a comprehensive leadership development roadmap aligned to the Vivint leadership competencies
Consult with internal clients and business leaders on interpersonal communication skills, change management, coaching ability, trainer upskilling (train-the-trainer), and individual and team assessments
Proactively and deliberately maintain awareness of industry trends in instructional design and learning theory in order to deliver leading-edge performance focused learning solutions that drive measurable, lasting impact
What you bring to the role:
Bachelor’s degree in related field, or relevant and ongoing work experience
3+ years’ in job-related field(s) developing and facilitating core leadership and skill-based content (or evidence that practical role-relevant experiences have developed similar competencies in shorter timeframe)
Excellent presentation skills demonstrated across diverse audiences and content
Certification and experience facilitating individual / group assessments preferred (MBTI, etc.).
Well-developed business acumen and a track record of successfully partnering with HR and business leaders
Sound analytical, diagnostic, consulting and problem-solving skills and ability to tailor solutions to meet the needs of diverse businesses and learners
A desire to learn new things, an insatiable curiosity for how best to develop, engage and drive employee performance
