Responsibilities:
The successful candidate shall be able to teach courses offered in the Division of HPER. The courses include those required of majors in the BSE and BS programs of health, physical education, and recreation. The faculty workload consists of the teaching equivalent of twelve credit hours per semester and includes time allocated for teaching, to include advising students, and service. This workload is subject to review and can be maintained only with measurable productivity. The candidate should also advise students; serve on university committees; and perform other duties as assigned by the Chair of the Division of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation.
Qualifications:
An earned masters degree in health, physical education, or a related field from an accredited institution. The candidate should have a record of scholarly achievement in teaching, service, and be active in appropriate professional organizations or societies. The successful candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and excellent organizational and communication skills. They should have an understanding and commitment to the use of technology, demonstrated academic planning abilities, and the ability to understand and work with student advisement. The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the HPER or related field.Have an earned masters degree in health, physical education, or a related field from an accredited institution. Three years of work experience in HPER or related field.A demonstrated record of teaching courses in higher education as well as experience teaching clinical education courses that require student evaluations of clinical skills or competencies. Three years of work experience in teaching or clinical setting in related fields. Prior work teaching or evaluating interns would also be preferred.
