SUMMARY:
The RN is a supportive position to Primary Care Associates of Erie Metro Center, providing administrative and supportive services to the Providers, staff, and patients. This position reports to the Triage Supervisor at OB/GYN Associates of Erie, PC.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Plans and manages patient care according to each patients needs.

Interviews patient and documents the encounter in the medical record.

Performs procedures and administers medication and treatments according to nursing standards.

Provides necessary health education to patient.

Verifies that patient charts are updated promptly and accurately.

Observes and records patients condition and reaction to medications and treatment.

Performs Phlebotomy.

Administers injections.
-
Communicates with patients via telephone as directed by the Provider.

Complies with established standards, OSHA regulations, policies, and procedure

Follows the direction of the Provider(s).

Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

Consistently demonstrates internal and external quality customer service standards to all that request assistance, responding in a professional manner.

Performs skills as credentialed under a Registered Nurse.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Must have a current valid Professional Nursing License.
