Valbin Corporation was awarded three government contracts for translation and interpretation services from target languages to English and vice versa, on an as needed basis.

Translators:
We are in need of a translator that can provide accurate translations, free of errors in grammar, spelling and content. The level of difficulty in the translations range from General, Semi-Technical, and Technical. There are several types of documents you will need to translate such as general documents of agreements, more complex legal or highly technical documents. Translations are expected to be verbatim replicas of the original in terms of register and format; however, translators with experience in gisting and summarization may be called on for those tasks on a case-by-case basis.

An understanding of trade and/or negotiation terminology is helpful. You must be able to accurately translate ambiguous terms, subtitles and nuances in your target language. Proofreading is required for all completed documents including legally binding translations. Translation requirements and turnaround times vary depending on each individual request. Extreme Turnaround times for translations vary depending on the customer's needs. Rush translation requests can range from 200 words to 7,500 words.

Compensation is dependent on the nature of the assignment and may be hourly or per word.

Requirements:
U.S. Citizen currently residing in the U.S.
Must be 18 years of age
Willingness to undergo a Limited or Single-Scope Background Investigation; Current security clearance is preferable but not an absolute requirement

Available 24/7 as needed basis for translations

Interpreters:
Interpretations will be held in the general Washington, D.C. Metro area. Simultaneous Interpretation and/or One-way Interpretation shall be part of the core service required. The meeting types range from general meetings, hearings, panels, digital video conferences (DVC), Conference calls to other mediums for discussions for both large and small settings. The time frame ranges from extremely short (2-5 hours) to very lengthy sessions (up to 12 hours per day).

Interpreters need to be available as requested between the hours of 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM EST, and should be available to work additional hours as needed.

Requirements:
U.S. Citizen

Must be 18 years of age

Willingness to undergo a Limited or Single-Scope Background Investigation; Current security clearance is preferable but not an absolute requirement

Available 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM EST for interpretations, and additional hours as needed
