About our team
The Verizon Customer Experience team is evolving the Verizon customer experience across all channels and touch points through the design and implementation of innovative products and services that customers love.
As Manager of business operations for the CX Platforms team, you will lead, oversee and manage all operational interests of the team. This role requires a team player who is naturally curious, analytical, well organized and able to work with minimal supervision. You will need to be a self-starter, a fast learner, proactive in anticipating needs. Accuracy and adherence to deadlines in a fast-paced environment is essential. Given the scope of this charter and the high level of visibility, you must be extremely thoughtful, well organized and an excellent communicator.
Driving ongoing alignment on priorities, milestones and resource allocation across the CX platforms team
Working with leaders on budget planning and financial tracking
Working with stakeholders to prepare executive communications
Influencing teams to meet delivery milestones while building positive relationships
Preparing weekly status reports that track the health of all initiatives across the CX platforms team
Organizing and prepare materials for operational reviews with senior leadership
Acting as an advocate leading culture initiatives on the team
Analyzing business and performance metrics and report out on trends and strategic opportunities
Partnering in the development of a strategic roadmap and operating model
Managing the production of executive communication deliverables that require collaboration across multiple business units and leadership teams
Varied ad hoc projects and reports that require coordination across the various teams, as required
What we’re looking for...
You'll Need to Have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience as a management consultant or in an operational role.
Even better if you have:
Strategic and analytical thinker who can analyze data to make appropriate process/business decisions/recommendations and shape business strategy.
Negotiating skills, collaborative and consensus-building strengths.
Team player and leader who can handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Strong communication (verbal/written) skills, with an ability to manage internal and external relationships up to senior levels of management.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and maintaining accountability for major business initiatives.
Ability to learn and adapt to frequently changing priorities.
Ability to understand and navigate the organizational landscape.
Experience in consulting (external or in house) with emphasis on strategy and roadmaps.
Good PC skills: Advanced PowerPoint and Excel, Word, Access.
