Our Wells Fargo Auto team supports one of the nation's leading auto lenders. The team offers integrated financial services solutions designed primarily for the auto dealer community, providing financing and related services to both dealers and consumers nationwide.

As part of the Business Excellence Team in Wells Fargo Auto, the Business Support Consultant 3 will be responsible for leadership of cross functional/virtual teams to strategize, plan and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives.

This position will work closely with the line of business; qualified candidates should have recent experience with Auto Credit Originations and Underwriting policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include:
  • Proactively manage assigned SHRP Issues/Corrective Actions or work efforts supporting Wells Fargo Auto Credit, Underwriting and Funding Issue Management portfolio.
  • Ensure risks and mitigation strategies are identified early and communicated effectively to management
  • Ensure SHRP issues/corrective actions are accurate, well thought-out, true root cause analysis, detective & preventive controls are in place.
  • Collaborate with cross functional business partners, recognizing the significance of competing priorities.
  • Works with all levels of management and key partners to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict and ensure strategy, policies and line of business objectives are met.
  • May support and drive strategic initiatives for the business.
Position may be located in the following locations: Charlotte, NC; Des Moines, IA; Minneapolis, MN; or Raleigh, NC.

Limited travel may be required.

Required Qualifications

6+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services

Desired Qualifications

3+ years of operations experience
5+ years of consultative business analysis experience
Project management experience
Risk and regulatory compliance experience
Strong analytical skills and ability to build business cases
Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment
Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders
Ability to identify and evaluate trends, isolate root cause, and provide swift/thorough resolution
Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
Ability to manage tactical or strategic initiatives
Knowledge and understanding of auto finance industry
Knowledge and understanding of strategic planning and execution
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
2+ years of leadership or management experience
Ability to grasp complex business issues quickly, recommend solutions, and drive for resolutions
Knowledge and understanding of Shared Risk Platform (SHRP) such as reporting and issue management
Experience with auto finance credit and loan originations
Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills
