What This Entails:
Dogfish Head Companies is seeking an off-centered HR Payroll Specialist to provide excellence in the key functional areas of payroll, benefits, compliance, reporting all within ADP. Payroll will be your bread and butter as you provide accurate and timely processing of payroll & audits.Managing payroll resources and processes on a daily basis with the primary objective of ensuring payroll is computed and distributed to coworkers both accurately and in a timely manner with no bloopers, pretty-please. You’ll be tasked at times to research, analyze, and resolve difficult and advanced payroll problems or questions presented by our beloved coworkers, who are your clients so you must bring your A-game ready to address and resolve if and when needed. But processing is only the half of it as you’ll also be generating and interpreting reports and pay data to support great decision-making throughout teams. You will be asked to use your systems orientation to support new/improved technologies and other special projects on team’s horizon.Working within ADP you will be managing the system for accuracy. You will have an ear to the ground for compliance issues, staying abreast of developments and helping to ensure practices are tight. You will be called upon to model healthy, positive and professional communication in a fun-loving but hard-working environment. You will facilitate the successful completion of official matters, including regulatory agency inquiries and other requests. You’ll also provide backup support to benefits administration for our wonderful package of group benefit options, including health, ancillaries and 401(k). You will be doing all of this and a whole lot more as you help to further the success of the team. What You Need To Land This Gig:
The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years HR experience focusing on Payroll and Benefits. We use ADP for payroll and HRIS so to that end, 5 years of in-depth processing and reporting experience with ADP is a must. You’ll be leading the evolution and continuous improvement of our payroll system. A PHR, SHRM-CP, CEBS or similar certification is preferred. You must have exceptional communication skills, including both written and spoken as collaboration is king at Dogfish! Judgment, tact, empathy and confidentiality to the extreme will be expected and required of you and you must be able to deliver.The most successful candidate must also count Excel as one of their closest friends. Accuracy, organization, self-starting and attention-to-detail are essential. A healthy passion for our beer and/or off-centeredness would be awesome. If some or all of your HR experience takes or took place in a manufacturing environment that could be helpful, additionally hospitality industry experience could be a plus.
