This exciting position will be a part of the team responsible for all externally-facing production services for a growing SaaS web hosting datacenter. This group is the main support system that will support all hosting related issues and requests for both external and internal users.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced and forward-thinking member of the technical community with at least 7 years of experience using Microsoft Technologies. The Senior Systems Engineer will report directly to the VP of Technical Operations and will be responsible for the architecture and engineering of Bridgeline hosting systems. Additionally this role will be responsible for leading the team in administration, support, and monitoring of those systems.
The primary duties for this position are focused on systems engineering and troubleshooting which includes network, file and print services, hardware and software support, managing Active Directory, patch management, system backups, monitoring and inventory. Additionally, this position will interface with the helpdesk ticketing system, IT support entities and the end-user as to resolve incidents.
Lead engineering and system design for our cloud infrastructure for Bridgeline Hosting operations.
Troubleshoot operational issue and lead triage/resolution efforts.
Maintain documentation of all aspects of the Hosting operation.
Manages and deploys software updates & patches.
Participates in the IT Change Management and Asset Management processes.
Documents incident resolutions into the appropriate ticketing systems.
Interacts effectively with others and clearly communicates verbally and in writing.
Provides end-user / customer support via telephone, email, and face-to-face.
Participates in compliance activities that include audit log collection, analysis & reporting.
Performs system monitoring to ensure the integrity and availability of all IT server resources, reviewing system and application logs.
Performs daily backup operations that include ensuring backups are successfully accomplished and the proper disposition of media.
Add and configure new services and hardware as required in support of break-fix activities or system projects Performs after-hours system support during scheduled and unscheduled outages and standard monthly patching requirements

Minimum 7 years of experience.
4-year B.S. degree, Computer Science, Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
Prior SaaS hosting experience a plus.
Prior AWS managment.
Administration experience with the following:
Highly Desirable:Public cloud implementation (AWS, Azure).
Network Routing and firewall experience.
PMP, VCP, or MCITP certification.
