We are seeking a Content Area Manager who will be responsible for applying professional expertise in family support services and Early Head Start/Head Start eligibility, working in cooperation with all other disciplines (Education, Mental Health Disabilities, Health and Safety) in order to provide internal consulting services, training and compliance monitoring in accordance with Early Head Start and Head Start standards. The Content Area Manager also provides direct oversight of Family Services for the Center-Based Head Start program.
Oversee, integrate and evaluate family partnerships and family engagement within CTI’s Early Learning Program, in accordance with Early Head Start and Head Start performance standards, Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care licensing requirements and NAEYC accreditation standards.
Utilize child, family and community assessment data, as well as observations and file reviews to identify needs of families.
Develop collaborative partnerships with CTI’s Education, Mental Health Disabilities, and Health and Safety Coordinators to plan and implement family support strategies for management and/or classroom educational teams, as well as families.
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Family Studies, Human Services, or related field required.
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Family Studies, Human Services, or related field preferred.
3-5 years previous experience required.
Previous supervisory experience required.
Strong proven leadership and decision making abilities.
Demonstrated knowledge of the needs of low income and at risk families.
Excellent communication skills including work within multiracial and multicultural groups.
Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Desire to work with low income, culturally diverse, and at-risk families and individuals.
Ability to use abstract reasoning, problem solving, planning, and analytical skills in training, evaluation, and program development.
Proficient computer skills to include Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet and comfort learning new software and tracking systems.
Bilingual skills (English, Spanish, Khmer, Portuguese) preferred.
Evidence of recent Mantoux, physical exam, and MMR
Must be able to pass a Background Record Check, including fingerprinting.
EEC Licensed Director I and II preferred.
