The AV Technician will be support the Qbase DAU Video Services team with onsite audio visual equipment installations which will include, but not be limited to: pulling/ordering parts as needed, assisting with equipment rack set up, performing cable pull paths, crimping and terminating cables, installation of displays, projectors and projection systems, VTC systems, audio hardware and speakers, and control systems.
Install/Set up, operate, and tear down A/V systems including projection systems, recording and playback systems, multi-channel mixers/audio boards, DSPs, wireless microphone systems, lighting control systems, professional production switchers, production cameras, video teleconference systems etc.
Prepare and maintain gear and equipment, to include regular maintenance of inventory and repairing equipment
Planning and executing delivery of audiovisual products
Interface with customers
Interface with other team members, programmers and clients
Participate as part of an A/V team providing training, technical support, upgrades, installation and design and conference support
Knowledge and Skills:
One (1) + years of experience in the installation and troubleshooting of audio, video and control systems
Familiarity with various manufacturers in the fields of professional audio, video, and control system equipment (AMX, Extron, Crestron, CISCO, Polycom, Planar, Christie Digital)
Strong verbal and written communications skills; responsibilities will include extensive team and client contact
Ability to read and decipher architectural plans and schematic line drawings
Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and work within varied conditions some which may be small or confined

Location: This position will be based out of our Client Site in Ft. Belvoir, VA
Travel Requirement: Occasional Overnight Travel to DAU Region Sites 25%
