IDEXX Roswell is looking for a Site Controller to join the Finance team!
As the Site Controller, you will be responsible for leading the financial activities of our manufacturing facility in Roswell, Georgia, located in the metro Atlanta area. In this role, you act as a financial business partner to the Site Director and be an active member of the cross-functional plant leadership team. This role involves oversight of the manufacturing cost system, coordinating financial planning activities, providing financial analysis and insight to achieve financial and operational objectives, directing the monthly close process to ensure accurate reporting of financial results, and maintaining a sound internal controls environment. In addition, the role involves serving as the lead financial contact for functional, business line and Corporate stakeholders based at Global headquarters in Maine.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as an active member of the Site management team and partner cross-functionally to advance the operations strategy and achieve desired financial results.
Provide financial leadership including in the areas of cost management, establishing product costs and measuring actual cost of production, analyzing variances, inventory valuation and control and identifying and mitigating risks to operating plan.
Provide timely, accurate and insightful management reporting to highlight underlying operational trends and monitor performance.
Provide financial information for assessing and measuring productivity, quality and cost improvement activities.
Provide financial analysis to support decision making, including the evaluation of capital and other investments to support growth, productivity improvement opportunities and identification and prioritization of cost reduction initiatives.
Develop and maintain a financial management system to monitor and assess results and present to senior management.
Work collaboratively to develop budgets, forecasts and long-range financial plans based on sound assumptions, analyses, judgment, and alignment with line of business commercial and financial goals.
Coordinate the monthly close process, ensuring the reliability and integrity of financial information, including the oversight of journal entry preparation and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
Support strong controls environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and internal and external audit requirements.
Work with information systems and processes to ensure accurate recording of financial results, information retrieval and analysis.
Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Finance or Accounting
CPA, CMA or MBA preferred
Minimum five years of progressive accounting experience required; Manufacturing Controller experience preferred
Accounting/Finance experience in a manufacturing environment required
Cost accounting experience in a standard cost environment highly preferred
ERP system experience required. SAP experience preferred
