Note: This role is located in College Park, MD
Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on relevant experience in technical writing, supporting an Information Technology staff.
Excellent English language, grammar, and spelling skills for writing, editing, and proofreading.
Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
Skilled at organizing and translating information into clear written documentation.
Skilled at articulating complex concepts and processes in writing.
Proven ability to effectively research subject matter.
Experience working in a collaborative environment.
Proven ability to work well under tight deadlines and effectively interact with a wide range of personnel.
Must be very proficient in Microsoft Office product suite, particularly Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
Demonstrated experience working as part of a team to create and edit documents.
Demonstrated experience in providing editing, redlining and formatting documents to create high quality documentation.
Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.
Research subject matter.
Proficient in Microsoft Office product suite
Excellent English language, grammar and spelling skills
Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.
Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
Travel may be required.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
