What you’ll be doing...
This position will provide technical presales support for key Verizon Enterprise Solutions (VES) vertical-based accounts teams. The ability to quickly understand requirements, develop solutions, and concisely explain them is critical to the SA’s success. In this role, the successful candidate will:
Work with some of the most established global VES client organizations; deliver consulting on best-in class networking solutions and technologies.
Prepare statement of work (SOW) documentation including work breakdown estimates and pricing. Explain / defend proposed solution to internal and external stake holders:
Document and validate customer requirements. Partner with product and/or professional services specialists as needed.
Review and analyze the client’s current technology infrastructure and evaluate whether the proposed solution will support their objectives.
Work with internal and external stake holders to understand business requirements and provide feedback relative to the technical solution designs at both high and low levels.
Support the build and communicate the value proposition of the end to end solution to AT and client representatives.
Coordinate efforts across Verizon support and product specialist organizations to ensure overall integrity and consistency of the final proposed solution.
Partner with bid management organization to build-out detailed RFP responses and contract development (as applicable).
Maintain and manage a personal funnel of opportunities and develop an action plan to meet or exceed SLAs.
Share knowledge and experience to enhance the technical capabilities of peers and build prospective opportunities.
Take ownership of projects and take a lead on working with cross-functional teams.
Maintain day to day records of project work to allow accurate reporting of time.
Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
BS in Engineering or Computer Science related discipline or four or more years of equivalent work experience.
Four or more years of experience with enterprise data architecture, data modeling, and high volume transaction processing systems, preferably in a Professional Services solutions development environment
Four or more years of experience in design, proposal, solutions development and solutions architecture
Knowledge of IT governance and operations
Strong knowledge of one or more vertical businesses (Public Sector, Retail, Finance, Manufacturing, Utilities, Healthcare, Logistics, etc.) for which the enterprise architecture is being developed
General knowledge in all, and In-depth knowledge and experience in at least (2) of the following BOLD services required:
Machine 2 Machine (M2M)/ Internet of Things (IoT)
IT Applications Management (SOA, Web Services, RTE)
Even better if you have:
Masters or level education desired.
ITIL v3 certification desired
Sevenor more years of experience with enterprise data architecture, data modeling, and high volume transaction processing systems, preferably in a Professional Services solutions development environment
Sevenor more years of experience in design, proposal, solutions development and solutions architecture
Knowledge of the following security practice areas is desired:
IDS/IPS devices, and
Governance, Risk & Compliance requirements and solutions
Threat & Vulnerability Management
Payment Card Industry (PCI)
Identity & Access Management (IAM)
Experience preparing customer-facing material such as RFP responses, SOWs, proposals and solution designs.
Experience in security service delivery, IT governance and operations. .

Payment Card Industry (PCI) Standards and Compliance
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
Cisco, BlueCoat and/or CheckPoint
Strong presentation skills aimed at aligning technical solutions with business value – white boarding
Strategic systems thinking - the ability to see how parts interact with the whole (big picture thinking)
Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering
Project and program management planning and organizational skills
Strong leadership, negotiation, conflict resolution and consensus-building skills with business and technical groups
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
