Columbia Business School is pleased to announce that we are seeking an Associate Director, Communications & Operations to join the high-energy, mission-driven team in the Career Management Center (CMC). The Associate Director, Communications & Operations reports to the Director, Communications & Operations and works as part of a larger team to support all Columbia Business School students and alumni in their career search, as well as external recruiters looking to hire CBS talent. This role will administer many operations functions of the CMC including technology platform management and budget management among others.

This role will support all CBS student programs including MBAs, Executive MBAs, and specialized MS programs. The Associate Director, Communications & Operations will work with staff from all areas of the School including ITG, Financial Planning, Operations, HR, Office of Student Affairs, Admissions and others as necessary.

Responsibilities:
1. Manages the multiple software platforms used by the CMC, including recruiting platforms, job search tools, CRM software as well as others, under supervision of Director, Communications & Operations. This includes loading & maintaining student records in multiple software platforms, participating in status meetings with software vendors, working with ITG to troubleshoot technology issues.
2. Executes communications initiatives in conjunction with the Director, Communications & Operations.
3. Reviews and vets new technology options and best practices for the CMC to develop and deepen recruiter relationships. Researches and presents operations and technology best practices to Directors and Sr. Associate Dean.
4. In collaboration with ITG, project management responsibilities include: upgrade from one software platform to another, ensuring requirements are met and converted, identifying enhancements to standard program, supervising testing new platforms and coordinating launch of new platforms. Also maintains relationship with other systems and software vendors.
5. Cultivates strong working relationship with ITG to ensure efficient technology support across Office and School-wide initiatives.
6. Assists with day to day management of student- and recruiter-facing websites. Recommends and develops improvements to websites.
7. Works with the Director by representing the CMC in development/execution of School-wide technology projects.
8. Assists in development and implementation of measurements to gauge employer and student satisfaction with the office's customer service, programs, resources and advising. In conjunction with office data managers, performs data collections and analyses as needed to assist in managing and executing the CMC's strategy.
9. Manages "Interview Pod" sound booths including internal technology.
10. Manages CRM database including data maintenance and analytics.
11. Participates in all-office events and initiatives, including On-Campus Recruiting, Orientation, Forums, Networking Night, student and recruiter surveys, monthly All Hands meetings and departmental and team off-sites.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications for Grade
Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant

Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent required. Minimum 3-5 years related experience required, preferably with project and technology management experience.

Must have experience with a wide variety of technology platforms, survey tools, databases and CRM systems. Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines required. Customer service orientation and proven ability to excel in a high-volume environment needed. Must have a strong team work/collaborative mindset. Excellent office related skills are essential, including strong computing skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Must have basic HTML skills. Occasional evening, weekend and early morning work required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in higher education and corporate settings strongly preferred. Experience with SalesForce, Civi or other CRM platforms preferred. Experience with Education software like Canvas/Blackboard preferred. Advanced HTML, Adobe suite skills preferred. Experience with Qualtircs/Survey Monkey, Google Analytics and other analytics programs desired.
