Payroll and Accounts Payable Clerk

Candidate must enjoy fast pace and be able to multi-task.

Candidate must willing to work from home and join our team right from home.

Main function is Payroll Specialist:
Printing and dispaching payroll checks daily
Process both biweekly (hourly and salaried) and semimonthly (commissioned salesperson) payrolls.
Calculate commissions payable and reconcile draw amounts.
Must have personal computer, printer and internet access at home

Ledger coding and invoice entry.
Retrieval of invoices to be paid for AP check runs.
Daily filing of orders, invoices, receiving forms.

Back up to Purchasing as directed, including:
Generating, reviewing and placing orders.
Reconciliation of orders against acknowledgments.
Daily communication with vendors and sales personnel regarding order discrepancies.
Tracking on Excel spreadsheets of Stock and Special Order cost adjustments and distribution to management on a weekly basis.

Miscellaneous Duties:
Opening, stamping and distribution of mail. Stamping and mailing of outgoing mail.
Duties to assist Owners as directed.

Strong interpersonal and communications skills both verbal and written.
Strong spreadsheet and reconciliation skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Retail industry background, inventory and purchase order processes, helpful.
