Technical Marketing Intern
The product marketing team is responsible for deep research and scientific understanding of our customers, products, and markets and translating this into content to drive market growth. Our team is looking for motivated individuals for a summer internship opportunity. Must possess excellent attention to detail and critical thinking. Doesn’t mind jumping between different tasks, and sometimes venturing outside of a job description

Required skills:
Engineering/ technical background, experience with medical devices is preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Should have a keen eye for design and detail

Here are some of the projects you will be working on:
Create training materials: Transform and author product training materials to be clinically and technically accurate. The resultant training materials should also be up to date with Volk’s current branding.
Technical/Marketing solutions: Take ownership and manage of solution-oriented research. Project steps will include gaining insight into the project requirements and precautions for each class of product and identifying viable solutions that do not degrade the optical properties of the lens.
Research and testing phase will entail testing and quantifying the effectiveness and safety of identified solutions and result in educated recommendations.
Market research: Market research and analysis of the opportunity to integrate/introduce product portfolio into various areas. The project scope includes understanding and defining the vision care needs of the in the industry outlining the major disease states and treatment plans employed. This should be followed by an analysis of strategic placement opportunities for the product portfolio.

Graphic Design Marketing Intern
This intern position is a member of the marketing team with a focus on creating communications programs that effectively describe and promotes Volk and its products. This includes the design and execution of digital and print marketing campaigns; building and maintaining the Volk web and social media footprint

Engineer Intern - Product Development Team
The Product Development Team at Volk is responsible for the development of exciting new medical devices to benefit the eye health of individuals worldwide and is looking for a motivated person with experience in embedded systems.

In this role, the Engineering Intern will be assisting in the development and testing of a smartphone-controlled Bluetooth camera. The Engineer Intern will be supervised and assisted by a senior engineer, gaining valuable experience in product development.

Here are some of the projects you will be working on:Pictor Plus Tech Support Operational Efficiency Improvement:
It would be great if we have someone who can create a written troubleshooting guide of all the different commonly asked questions we get with solutions. The solutions would be pictorial and with text. Additionally, for complex things, training videos would also be created. Further, this individual would train the entire CS team on these questions, so they are self-sufficient in answering questions and start becoming comfortable. They would also create this content to put on our website, so we can direct people to this area. This intern will also investigate modern tech support solutions such as Virtual reality and other AI based solutions.

Pictor Plus Loaner and Demo Tracking. As you know we don’t have good visibility or control over our Pictor Plus units. It would be great if someone comes in and figures this whole issue out and then puts in place a system to track units, collect customer credit cards at time of demo, send regular reminders, and charge credit cards if not returned in a timely manner. There would also be a system this person would put in so we know how many units we have at any given time and at our fingertips.

The Engineering Intern - Quality and Regulatory is part of the Quality team. They will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring document control activities per FDA/ISO 13485 and international medical device regulations. In addition, the specialist will be responsible for material returns and repairs for national and international customers by managing the RMA process and resolving customer issues and complaints.
