What we do:
Our business is simple: we help ship products from here to there. Our company was crafted by distributors who wanted to sell nationally. These national accounts are who you will work with. Every single day, your team will on-board new customers, find out where orders are, determine what happened and why, and recommend new methods to improve upon. We answer questions from inside and outside the organization which is simply what we like to call, Distribution by Design®

Who you are:
The Credit and Collections Representative is someone who is able to multitask and build relationships with our Members and Customers. You are not afraid to pick up the phone, and are a standout teammate with a drive and real passion for collections.

What you'll do:
Independently prioritize and execute daily collection activities; contact customers for payment via telephone and email, document and maintain timely collection notes in SAP collection tool and establish appropriate follow-up.
The Credit and Collections Representative will maintain or improve departmental and organization key performance indicators including; Days Sales Outstanding, Past Due and Current Percentage, Average Days Delinquent and Collection Effectiveness Index.
Perform all related credit activities for assigned customers with credit limits up to $15,000.00. This includes but is not limited to new customer approvals, credit limit adjustments, basic financial statement analysis and interpretation, contract reviews, DNBi interpretation, and obtaining both bank and trade references.
Perform root cause analysis to resolve current and mitigate future, invoice disputes, billing issues and deductions.
Credit and Collections Representative needs to be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing across all levels of the organization.
Build and maintain effective, cooperative and collaborative working relationships with Members, customers and cross-functional teams.

Other duties and responsibilities:
Maintain customer master data including current customer contact information
Recommend accounts to be placed for collection
The Credit and Collections Representative will perform various other duties as assigned
Specific knowledge, skills, licenses, certifications required:
Basic understanding of financial statements and DNBi reports
Strong communication, time management, and problem solving
Detail oriented with high degree of accuracy
Experience with Excel is required
Strong customer service skills

Education and experience required:Work History Requirements:
2 - 5 years of B2B Credit/Collection experience in a high volume environment

Education Requirements:
College graduate with degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred or equivalent experience

Computer equipment and level of software requirements:
Proficient in use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
SAP T-Codes – Credit/Collections preferred
FSCM SAP Collection Tool & Correspondence preferred
