This position provides financial counsel to Marketing, Sales, & R&D, and is a liaison with the Operations team. As the financial representative on the team, the Sr Manager, Category Finance serves as the voice of finance in the decision-making process as it relates to quarterly/annual reviews, monthly close process (including analysis and reporting), oversight of commercialization initiatives (new product launches, renovations, etc), and the development of the strategic plan. The position interfaces daily with all members of the category team to understand business results and ensure delivery of financial commitments. In addition, the position interacts with the Operations group to support productivity efforts and works with Procurement to align on strategic pricing and risk management strategies.
Key Responsibilities include :
Develop category financial plans and monitor delivery against objectives
Ensure effective and efficient use of A/C/T budgets
Commodity / Price management
Develop and update new & renovated product propositions
Support cross-category initiatives and productivity efforts
BS in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration required
5-7 of experience in Finance/Accounting
Strong business acumen, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
Ability to influence cross-functional team members
FiT (Hyperion) and SAP knowledge desired
