Threecore is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team. This role provides essential on-site support to the Superintendent and Project Manager, helping ensure successful day-to-day operations of construction projects. This is an introductory position designed for individuals interested in developing their skills in field supervision and project coordination. You will have primary responsibilities that include:
- Support daily jobsite activities, including managing safety checklists, Toolbox Talks, project updates, and documentation that includes project photos, emails, and updates
- Assist the Superintendent and Project Manager to coordinate work schedules and prevent timeline delays
- Assist Construction Project Managers in permit coordination and pickup
- Help Superintendent oversee the on-site workforce, including subcontractors and foremen, to ensure tasks are communicated
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and policies on the jobsite; communicate safety requirements to all personnel and visitors
- Track and record project progress through daily logs, photos, and updates for the project team, including the Construction Project Manager and Directors, and cataloging them for client updates
- Assist with inspections with utility companies, contractors, property owners, and municipal departments
- Assist in compiling, maintaining, and tracking site documentation and reporting
- Participate in weekly safety meetings and ensure attendance is recorded
- Proactively identify and resolve project issues in coordination with the project leadership team.
- Perform additional tasks as required to support project success
Position requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; or high school diploma with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in development, building trades, construction or related field
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of construction processes and terminology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and construction management software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and understand construction plans, specifications, and schedules
This role involves working on construction sites in varying weather conditions. The position requires standing, walking, climbing, lifting (up to 75 pounds), and other physical activities. The ability to travel and work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, may be necessary depending on project needs.
