The Thoreau Club is the premier health, fitness, tennis, aquatics, corporate outings and summer camp facility for the greater Concord MA area and is seeking an energetic, engaging and business minded Sales Representative for our growing business. This position is full time and will be part of the sales team for The Thoreau Club. Duties will include selling club memberships as well as summer camp and other club services. Our Sales Representatives are responsible for selling and promoting our individual and family memberships as well as summer camps, with opportunities to sell corporate outings and club programs. As a sales associate of The Thoreau Club you will be focused on developing long-term relationships with prospects that lead to happy and satisfied club members and clients. Our Sales Representatives have a high level of professionalism and demonstrate a thorough understanding of our broad range of products and services. Our most successful Sales Representatives show a self-initiated entrepreneurial spirit and thrive in an environment that pushes to exceed personal and team goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Generating, maintaining and executing individual and family sales leads for membership and summer camp.
  • Assessing prospects needs and helping each individual or family match the best membership package to meet their specific needs.
  • Working with the Director of Business Development to coordinate and manage promotional efforts to increase company awareness.
  • Networking at all levels by attending local events.
  • Focus on working with current members and obtaining referrals

  • If you have health and fitness industry experience in a club environment that is a bonus, but not required for success.
  • You have excellent communication skills and are able to work a varied schedule that includes some weekends and evening hours.
  • You have familiarity using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
