Work with the team : You stay in contact with the project manager and your team to make sure daily tasks are completed efficiently so that we are on track for our project completion date.
Develop your expertise : You have the chance to work on a job from start to finish exercising your fine carpentry skills. With the wide variety of projects that we sell you will be consistently learning new techniques and practices.
You want to learn: You have a high school diploma or equivalent. Most importantly, you have a drive to learn as much as possible. You’re open to new experiences and using them as a tool for learning.
You’re ready to work: You are an experienced painter. You are skilled in carpentry. You have extensive knowledge of residential construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, and safety and applicable building codes. You are able to clearly explain steps, provide clear directions, and answer questions about construction processes to employees and subcontractors.
You can handle working in a fast-past and varied construction environment and you have an attention to detail. You are able to lift 60 pounds, crawl 40 feet, and climb ladder up to 30 feet. You have a driver’s license, a ready to work attitude, and no problem handling the physical demands of the job. It is a plus if you possess your own tools necessary to complete your work or if you have any plumbing and/or electrical experience.
You’re a professional : You are clean, neat, well-groomed in appearance and you understand that safety is a priority. Facing technical challenges, being comfortable talking to a homeowner and professionally educating them on what their options are, technical information, basic math, equipment knowledge and handling are crucial and a must.
