Job Summary R-Tex Services, LLC located in Joshua/Godley, Texas is looking to hire Pipefitters for work located in Hillsboro, TX.
Under Direction the Pipefitter performs work involved in installation, maintenance, and repair of process facilities and systems, high pressure steam pipes and fittings, pumps, boilers, and furnaces, steam heating auxiliary equipment and steam operated equipment. Employee will work various machine and hand tools common to the trade. May prepare or work from sketches, plans and specifications in accord with accepted trade.

Responsibilities and Duties
Must have basic knowledge of regulations and requirements
Must demonstrate ability to determine methods and materials needed to accomplish assigned tasks
Prepares and/or works from sketches, plans, specifications, and roughing in sheets in accord with approved trade practices.
Interprets graphic symbols on piping drawings
Ability to layout, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling and industrial production and process systems/ piping, with the ability to apply knowledge of system operation and follow blueprints
Installs and repairs piping systems using flanged, screwed, bell and spigot, compression, and soldered joints
Perform Lock-Out and Tag-Out procedures to secure and deactivate equipment and checks local point to ensure proper lockout procedures are used and follow all safety precautions to ensure a safe working environment
Inspects work site to determine presence of obstructions and to ascertain that holes cut for pipe will not cause structural weakness.
Bends pipe, using pipe bending tools and pipe bending machine.
Cut pipe using saws, pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch or similar pipe cutting machine such as a plasma torch.
Thread pipe by hand or by power driven equipment
Dismantle equipment or devices to gain access to and remove defective parts or components
Enter safe vessels, towers, and columns for installation and maintenance of trays and cleaning also requiring pipe installation, repair, or maintenance
Perform miscellaneous tasks that require manually moving materials, tools, and equipment and using hand tools and power tools
Performs work area clean-up and safety related duties at all times
Completes paperwork documenting repair, alteration, or maintenance activities. Gives suitable assignments to helpers
Works in association with crafts (electrician ,welder, carpenter, or painter) when conditions, schedule or workload warrants or as directed by management
Secures pipe to structures with brackets, clamps, and hangers using hand tools and power tools
Requires working in operating facilities and observing and abiding by additional safety and
Must demonstrate ability to follow safety policies and procedures as dictated by Company or Client . Other Duties As Assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
4+ years of experience in work involving a variety of layout, installation and maintenance tasks
Have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Should possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving history
Must be able to pass a Weld Test prior to employment
Must be medically sound to work in Hot work environments and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Employee must pass Pre-Employment 10-Panel Non-DOT Drug & Alcohol Screening and will be susceptible to Random Drug & Alcohol Screening thereafter
Employee must demonstrate reliability and have good attendance
Pipe Fitter - pay will be commensurate based on experience
Per Diem and Travel pay when Applicable
Health Insurance 60 days following full-time employment status
Dental & Vision Benefits 60 days following full-time employment status
Sub-Contract Laborers will be entertained and pay will be commensurate based on experience
