GEC Trucking & Construction, Inc. is looking for an experienced candidate to operate several types of heavy construction equipment on commercial and DoD installations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate a variety of heavy or Specialized equipment (i.e. Rubber Tire Loader, Trackhoe, Dozer, Backhoe, Crane, etc.) at work sites
• Operate a variety of Equipment to complete tasks such as clearing land, trimming backfill, and to move and/or transport materials such as dirt, rocks, and other types of aggregate
• Perform preventative maintenance on heavy or specialized equipment
• Assist with supervision of small crew as necessary
• Maintain proper equipment appearance and cleanliness
• Perform labor duties as needed
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction industry environment
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Safely drive, operate, and maintain CDL A required vehicles and equipment
• Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Communicates with supervisor throughout the job process
• Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot simple mechanical failures
• Follow DOT regulations; ensuring proper permits and driving regulations are followed
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must be able to pass company’s background check and DoD security process for base access
• Must be able to pass a drug test
• Must have a clean driving record
