Summary
Plan, execute and support primarily EHS related projects and programs where the complexity requires technical specialization. Participate on cross-functional teams to ensure the attainment of the company’s goals relative to Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHSS) outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Primary responsibility is oversight, maintenance and improvement to existing industrial safety programs, including but not limited to Machine Guarding, Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space Entry, Powered Industrial Trucks, Electrical Safety, Working At Heights, Hazard Communication, etc. Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene (IH) professionals sufficient to work effectively with corporate or external IH supporting roles.
Contribute to ongoing continual improvement of our environmental programs, minimizing our environmental footprint, and maintaining and continually improving the EHS Management System. Provide support to associates responsible for incident and nonconformity management through effective investigation and corrective action management. EHS Performance data collection and entry into our enterprise info system.

Readily establish relationships with leaders, peers, and supporting EHSS resources;
Routinely engage with associates at all levels to share insights and promote safe work practices;
Gemba-Mindset (“Go-See-Do”. i.e. substantial time out on floor interacting with associates at all levels)
Participate in and promote building on our safety culture;
Help develop technical solutions to address EHS challenges;
Recommend, promote, lead, and manage improvement projects;
Serve as a resource for EHSS problem solving;
Influence operational and leaders to implement or improve EHSS compliance & programs;
Utilize specialized knowledge to contribute to EHSS strategy development and deployment
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Effective working knowledge of EHSS regulations and supporting resources; Ability to work independently and make decisions;
Ability to work effectively on a team, including leading a team to solve a problem;
Self-motivated, strong interpersonal and negotiation skills;
Excellent computer skills;
Good communication, written and oral skills;
Excellent organizational skills, problem solving skills and attention to detail;
Ability to handle a broad range of tasks simultaneously;
Ability to work cross-functionally in a highly-matrixed environment;
Ability to drive decisions and actions;

Education and/or Experience:
B.S. Degree in Environment, Safety, Engineering or related field required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting Safety or EHS for industrial applications.
Demonstrated knowledge of EHSS fields through one or more accredited external certifications: Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) If not attained, will be a role requirement. Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) PE
