The Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) seeks an outstanding candidate for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in bacterial pathogenesis, beginning Fall 2025. The candidate must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with postdoctoral research experience in their respective areas of research. We seek an outstanding candidate who apply cutting-edge approaches to timely topics in areas of prokaryotic pathogenesis such as host-microbiome interactions, omics approaches, chronic immune diseases, vaccine development, cellular immunology, microbial immunity, mucosal immunology, adaptive/innate immunity and vector-pathogen interactions. The successful candidate is expected to develop and maintain an extramurally funded research program and participate in teaching at undergraduate and/or graduate level.
