Job Description:
We are seeking a Part Time psychiatrist to oversee the clinical psychiatric operations and the strategic and expansive growth for our Psychiatric Day Clinic, supporting the needs of adolescent patients in Newton, MA. The psychiatrist will be instrumental in the design and development of the psychiatric day clinic with attention to intentional, patient-centered care; and will support the following positions: psychologists, physician’s assistants, nurses, social workers, and behavioral health technicians. This leader collaborates across management, staff, and providers to promote the highest standards of quality of patient care by appropriately managing patient flow and championing excellent patient experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and problem solve the clinical practice daily operations
- Advise on recruitment efforts with the Psychiatric Day Clinic staff
- Determine the clinical services and schedules to be delivered in the practice for patients aged 12-17 years old
- Decide acceptable delegation of duties, if any, to the clinicians or administrative staff
- Approve all technology used by the clinicians (i.e., practice management, EHR, or telehealth systems)
- Serves as a liaison and participates as a senior manager within LearnWell’s Management team.
Requirements:
- Must hold a professional licensure in Massachusetts as a Psychiatrist
- Board Certified to provide pediatric or adolescent psychiatry in MA
- 3-5 years’ experience in both in person and tele therapy
- Strong commitment to a multidisciplinary therapeutic approach
- Strong leadership skills and innovation in the field of partial programs
- Competencies should also include the following: adaptable, resourceful, compassionate, and collaborative
