Full Job Description
Provide critical support to the business, specifically in the areas of Production, Finished product inventory and Marine Logistics. Specific accountabilities include: Ensuring proper processes are in place to properly report daily Production; Leading quarterly inventory reconciliation processes; Leading plant discussions on KPI/OPI tracking; Acting as liaison to all inland marine carriers/vendors; Auditing all vendor billing and ensuring that payments are being made correctly and per contract terms. Work directly with the marine management team to maintain strong vendor relationships, be considered a world-class customer, and realize the cost savings that result from such an alliance. This position will work closely with the Mid America production and sales team to create and implement continuous improvement initiatives, as well as to perform detailed business and data analysis to support decision making.

Subject matter expert in entry of data into SAP, and utilization of reporting out of SAP
Ensures the Production elements of the manufacturing module of SAP are correctly maintained (recipes, resources, etc.)
Ensures all manufacturing data is correctly entered into SAP for the region, working with plant/operations team to ensure accurate reporting of production volumes and downtime incidents
Ensures KPI reports accurately reflect true operational conditions at the plant level
Works closely with materials performance, sales, logistics and operations to ensure efficient management of production costs & inventories – contributing to / leading a monthly cycle to review sales outlook and production models
Key contact for marine vendors/carriers to ensure LafargeHolcim meets contractual obligations in relation to timeliness and accuracy of all payments.
Update, maintain, and manage all conditions in ERP (SAP) system including but not limited to freight rates, fuel surcharge, and all accessorial charges for marine related activity
Setup and update all new carriers/vendors in SAP
Responsible for updating, monitoring, analyzing, and tracking all barge related cost data compared to budget
Responsible for maintaining LafargeHolcim’s internal barge tracking software TowWorks and its reconciliation with ERP
Utilizes Qlikview to implement and track all sales, production and inventory data.
Monthly Accrual – responsible for ensuring that all cost is accounted for and accurate
Experienced in project management and streamlining processes to improve efficiency
SAP work in recipe, BOM, inventory and production entry
Assist in updating metrics and dashboards. Familiar with process mapping/documentation Other duties as assigned.
Identifies opportunities for improvement, puts actions plans together to obtain them and reports progress.
Challenges U.S. Distribution data integrity by thorough evaluation and analysis
Tracks performance and explains variance of current U.S. Distribution performance relative to established KPI’s through regular variance analysis reporting
Identification of improvements to both production and performance
Successful operational improvement and project implementation
Develop strong understanding of U.S. Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing
Analyze and track sales performance and KPI details, to report to commercial manager
RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS
This role will have relationships across a large scope of our company and external organizations.
Interface with the Finance group for reporting and cost analysis
Interact with all levels of personal in the marine organization ensure carriers/vendors are setup and paid.
Continuous interaction with NABS to ensure carrier/vendors are paid and setup correctly.
Vendor Relations Specialist will lead and will interact with all logistics functions to aid carrier payment, reporting, and management of all marine related cost
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Field of Study Preferred: Logistics, Business, A/P, Supply Chain, Manufacturing
Required Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience preferred
Required Computer and Software Skills: Excel, SAP, Qlikview & Salesforce. Microsoft Office and Gmail are a plus as well.
Travel Requirements: 10-20%
