Supports and assists in recruiting for open hourly and salaried positions in the plant.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Conducts or coordinates hourly position recruiting, selection and on-boarding processes
2. Assists with and attends college career fairs and local job fairs
3. Conducts the internal job bid process for open hourly positions
4. Completes job bid matrix for promotions, and coordinates employee transfers
5. Produces weekly status reports on open positions
6. Conducts, coordinates, and/or assists with the new hire orientation
7. Enters and maintains new, current and former employee information in the HR Information System
8. Generates various reports from HR Information Systems, as requested
9. Processes, verifies and corrects information for weekly payroll in the Kronos time and attendance system
10. Maintains and distributes employee information, policy manuals, and other communications
11. Addresses routine employee questions on benefits, compensation, and HR policy and procedures
12. Provides a variety of administrative support services to the Plant Human Resource Department to include employee file maintenance.
13. Performs other tasks as assigned



1. Must meet one of the following Education and Experience requirements:
a. Bachelors Degree in Business or a related discipline plus 0 to 2 years of experience in a Human Resources position; OR
b. Associates Degree in Business or a related discipline plus 2 to 4 years of experience in a Human Resources position
(Experience in an HR Generalist and/or in a recruiting/staffing position is preferred)
2. Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:
a. Basic Office/Administrative skills
b. Organizational and planning skills
c. Computer skills—proficiency using standard business software, including MS Office
d. Written and verbal communications skills
e. Interpersonal skills — to confidently interact with individuals at all levels of authority and to maintain composure in stressful and/or sensitive situations
