Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years relevant work experience in consumer product or marketing analytics, management consulting, investment banking or fast-growing technology/media industry

Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Sound knowledge of analytical tools and techniques required (SQL/Database, Statistics, business modeling and quantitative analysis).
Experience leading complex operational and strategic initiatives, and interacting with Business Leads or Product Managers.
Distinctive problem-solving and analytical skills combined with impeccable business judgment
Superior ability to present to executives and communicate with highly technical management team.
Experience in quantitative business modeling or financial modeling

The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

The Business Operations, Strategy and Analytics team provides the critical strategic support and business insights needed by the Play Commercial Ops team to accelerate and optimize innovations globally, including crafting growth strategies, market prioritization, monitoring the current business, reporting results on promotional activities, evaluating new features, and deep dives to identify new business opportunities. As the Business Analyst on the team, you combine a love of data with great business judgment and communication skills in order to develop strategies with meaningful insight from user behavior globally. You have great attention to detail, and summarize with brevity and impact, operating in the start-up nature of Google Play. Your work will help the business team shape product development and strategic / operational decision-making, with the goal of increasing performance and achieving success. You provide quantitative support, market understanding and a strategic perspective to our partners throughout the organization. As a self-starter, you relish tallying up the numbers one minute and communicating your findings to a team leader the next.

Partner with the Play Commercial Ops team to define strategies and success metrics to improve vertical performance and accelerate growth
Partner with key stakeholders including Product/Eng, Commercial Ops, Marketing, BD and regional partners to syndicate business plans and align performance metrics
Define, develop and present executive level insights and reports to senior leadership to support business decision making
Define, develop and own relevant metrics and ongoing management of dashboards to support day-to-day operations
Ensure a high degree of rigor and quality in all projects and ensure that best-of-breed processes are adopted and best practices are shared
