Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.

As a part of the research management team, the Director of Content and Data Analytics will work directly with Equity Advisory management team to optimize the equity research product through the implementation and execution of an effective technology strategy. The position will also be instrumental in driving coordination across all relevant business lines within the Corporate & Investment Bank.

Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.
This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to comply with 17 CRF 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following, and adhering to and if applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite, and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of client relationship management experience
10+ years of market research experience
10+ years of product strategy development experience
10+ years of vendor management experience
8+ years of leadership experience
10+ years of experience in data architecture and strategy
10+ years of capital markets industry research experience

Desired Qualifications

Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications
Knowledge and understanding of algorithmic trading, risk trading, ETF trading, and program trading
Knowledge and understanding of sales, cross sell, marketing or communications
Strong customer relationship management skills
Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills

Other Desired Qualifications
15+ years of capital markets industry research experience
Direct experience with implementation and execution of research data strategy
Knowledge of, and direct experience with relevant research industry data vendors
Experience with research performance assessment and management, specifically with the use of data to automate and optimize this process
Deep familiarity with major institutional asset managers, including trends around research payments and consumption patterns
Fluency in all compliance related issues surrounding the creation and distribution of research content, and in particular, with MiFID II
Direct experience managing research vetting process for investment banking transactions
A demonstrated ability to coordinate with sales and Corporate Access teams
FINRA Registration for FINRA Series 86 & 87 must be completed within 90 days of hire date

Job Expectations

Registration for FINRA Series 7 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
