Position Summary:
The Investment Analyst supports the Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) and coordinates communication between the OCIO, HHC senior management and the Investment Subcommittee of the Finance Committee. The Analyst will assist in due diligence on existing and potential strategic investments along with managing onboarding of new commitments and maintaining ongoing records of strategic investments. Additionally. the Analyst will support the investment accounting, liquidity and overall monitoring and record keeping of investment funds of approximately $4.2 billion in endowment, pension plan and captive insurance company and a short term investment program of approximately $350 million.
Key Accountabilities:

Insures proper documentation and record keeping of monitoring on managers/funds to insure institutional memory and support audit. Maintains ongoing record of strategic investments

Interacts with strategic investment fund managers and companies on the onboarding, valuation, reporting and funding of strategic investments

Assists OCIO in meeting fiduciary responsibilities and organizational objectives including investment policy development, portfolio construction and asset allocation

Works with internal and external groups as needed to ensure proper valuation of investments and handling of capital commitments and distributions

Assists OCIO with risk management, performance analysis, and liquidity and investment renewal forecasting

Prepares standard and ad hoc reports and presentations to facilitate communication and transparency to HHC management and Investment Subcommittee as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required. MBA or equivalent certification strongly preferred

Five plus years of experience in managing multi-asset class institutional investment portfolios

CFA, CPA or equivalent educational achievement is preferred

Experience working with governing bodies and senior organizational management

Advanced finance, financial modeling, accounting, process development, and analytical abilities

A strong work ethic, multitasking, presentation, problem solving and organizational skills, and attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, solid research skills, and the ability to direct, supervise and work well in a team environment and/or independently

Experience using analytical software, databases, presentation graphics software and spreadsheets in support of investment analysis and performance reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
