We are currently seeking a Water Resources Engineer for our Orlando, Florida office location.
This position would be responsible for storm water management, drainage design, hydrologic, hydraulic and water quality modeling, and environmental permitting in accordance with FDOT, water management district and local municipality standards, criteria and accepted practices.
Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university
Certification as an Engineering Intern (EI) or Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the field of civil engineering
0-5 years’ experience in the field of civil engineering specializing in water resources design specific to municipal stormwater improvements and/or heavy highway projects in Florida
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Watershed delineation and determination of hydrological parameters
Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using ICPR
Experience using Geopak Drainage and/or ASAD
Experience with plans production using Microstation, Geopak, and FDOT software
Significant expertise using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Preparing environmental permit application packages
Experience with Microstation 3-D Corridor Modeling
Experience with riverine and/or coastal modeling using HEC-RAS and scour analysis
Experience with 2-dimensional bridge hydraulics modeling
Experience using ArcGIS for water resources projects
Experience with floodplain studies and FEMA LOMC
Experience designing potable water, reclaimed water, and/or sanitary sewer systems
Experience with design-build and/or other alternative delivery projects
