What You’ll Get to Do:
CACI is seeking an HR Recruitment and Placement Assistant to help support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Enterprise Civilian Workforce Development Office in meeting their mission requirements of recruiting, retaining, and developing their civilian workforce.
More About the Role:
Primary functions will be to provide recruitment and placement support services, to include responding to customer inquiries on such matters as status of recruitment actions; assisting in recruitment and onboarding activities by submitting drug screenings requests, verifying veterans’ preference (if needed), sending out tentative job offer notifications, coordinating EOD/release dates (when needed), and processing pre-employment security verifications.
Respond to general personnel action questions and receive/track Requests for Personnel Action (RPAs) as well as questions from applicants in reference to the hiring process
Maintain integrity and confidentiality of personnel files and records.
Attend and provide support as needed with special hiring events.
Become knowledgeable about DCPDS Gatekeeping process - RPA bundling: create RPA bundles of similar positions and route bundles to the appropriate Staffing Specialist.
Access HR Systems (DCPDS, TWMS, USA Staffing) for retrieving recruitment documents for the hiring process and data entry.
Manage onboarding requirements: identify, assign, and track completion of onboarding tasks and new hire documents, create reports for new hire and security check-in, submit payroll documents, provide reporting instructions to new hires.
Participate in bi-weekly meetings with assigned HR Specialist and supported organizations to discuss the status of recruit and non-recruit actions.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Knowledge of HR rules, procedures, and operations sufficient to perform a wide variety of interrelated and/or non-standard HR support work; plan, coordinate, develop facts and/or resolve support problems in one or more HR specialties.
Knowledge of current HR database systems to query, retrieve, and analyze information in order to complete assignments.
Knowledge of personal computers with office applications to perform operations or to prepare complex documents containing tables or graphs; and use online HR resources to obtain information accessible over the Internet, as needed.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently and possess strong time-management skills.
Self-starter/Resourceful/Accountable. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Professionally mature; able to interact with clients of all levels in a professionally mature manner.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to competently craft presentations, emails, and documents for senior level customers, as well as speak articulately in front of senior level customers.
Strong relationship development skills.
Demonstrates strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Conducts research and makes recommendations to clients.
