The Manager Employee Communications & Engagement reports to the Director Human Resources and works closely with the President, Divisional Vice Presidents, and Corporate Human Resources to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization to drive employee engagement. The position is charged with developing tactics and programs to make employee communications more engaging, and to support the long term success of the business. The Manager Employee Communications and Engagement is responsible for implementing programs that motivate employees and help them understand the impact of their work. The role is responsible for developing and writing engaging content, managing projects and programs to drive employee education and engagement, and acting as a representative of the management team.
Design and execute activities to enhance morale and employee commitment.
Partner with business leaders to develop proactive and positive employee and labor relations strategies and initiatives that drive business success.
Manage employee recognition programs.
Develop messaging and write content for employee communication vehicles including Intranet, E-mail, management presentations, etc.
Lead the assessment of labor vulnerability and make recommendations on potential actions.
Participate in the development and implementation of employee relations policies and procedures, programs and other company initiatives.
Determine methods to provide informational opportunities for supervisors and employees about work expectations, handling of informal complaints, and handling of formal grievances.
Conduct employee focus group sessions, employee surveys, and interviews to obtain employee feedback. Identifies employee concerns and monitors overall employee satisfaction. Partners with leadership to implement action plans.
Stay abreast of external trends and activities related to employee engagement.
5 Years Applicable Experience (i.e. Org Development, HR, Communication, etc.)
BS Organizational Development, Human Resources, Communications, or other Equivalent Degree
