Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Senior Event Coordinator, the intern will observe and assist with various projects assigned by the Marketing department.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with event planning, promotion and on-site execution
Assist in communications around event management including email confirmation and reminders, calendar invitations, etc.
Shadow Events Team, offer input into projects, be included in meetings, and may be asked to assist other department
Assist in on-site event execution including set up, on-site coordination and tear down
Assist with the development and maintenance of event registrations, guest lists, itineraries and transportation
Procure and organize supplies for events
Research event promotional items
Coordinate logistics for sending marketing items to tradeshows, meetings and sales representatives
Attend local site checks of venues
Keep track of invoices and receipts relating to events
Create social media & internal communication posts relating to events
Assist in the creation and management of post-event surveys
Data analysis and reporting
Other projects as assigned

Strong time management and multitasking skills
Works well under pressure

Adaptable to various responsibilities and tasks

Detail-oriented with a focus on organization

Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system experience preferred

Strong interpersonal, verbal (including phone work) and written communication skills

Interest in Events and/or Hospitality Industry

College coursework or comparable work experience preferred
