Duties & Responsibilities
Promote and encourage new and increased business within current accounts through strong relationship development.
Understand BDA business units, and processes, to watch for and evaluate appropriate business opportunities utilizing capabilities.
Understand and calculate financial information such as margins, discounts, etc. to ensure profitable sales results.
Understand the negotiation and purchasing dynamics between client and BDA, as well as third party vendors
Communicate and listen to high level contacts ensuring information is gained to develop and maximize business opportunities for all business units at BDA
Manage on-line Marketing resources
Develop creative solutions for clients’ branding needs; marketing promotions, division needs
Respond to RFP/RFQ’s – spot / program / opportunities
Research, analyze and capitalize on market opportunities. Monitor and minimize effects of competitive activity
Follow-up with clients to ensure BDA is producing high quality service and products for our new business
o Coach & mentor Account Managers on key account team
o Monitor, measure, and drive to achieve short and long term sales and profitability plans
o Be a role model for client relations – make that first impression of high-level, customer service to ensure client feels he/she will get incredible customer service from everyone at BDA
o Manage and develop contact and opportunity database
o Understand financial aspects of the accounts to make good business decisions for BDA; client reports, sales revenue, gross margins, sales reports, operating expenses, etc.
o Pitch strategy, presentation development, project management
o Work within assigned budgets and forecasts and adjust expenses to correspond with sales expectations.
o Work with Director and Divisional VP to forecast annual sales and set strategic direction for assigned account
o Give direction and partner with internal teams to develop effective sales/marketing collateral
o Ensure ease of process and high levels of professionalism when interacting with BDA employees as well as the client, while allowing for flexibility and change within the office and client’s needs.

Number of staff reporting to this position: 0-5. If no direct reports, responsible for leading the team strategy and coaching/mentoring team members.
5+ yrs Account Management or Business Development experience with Proven track record of increasing sales or business opportunities through client development
Creativity and experience with intangible solution selling with the ability to promote value.
Experience as a Team Lead or mentor for a successful sales team, particularly field teams in varied markets.
Experience working within a Manufacture/Import to Distributorship model a plus
Import product development a plus.
