Position Overview:
The Associate Vice President (AVP) of Information Technology at Capital Fund 1 is a senior-level role designed to support the VP of IT. This position is responsible for assisting in the strategic direction and oversight of the company’s technology operations, including data systems, application development, and network infrastructure. The AVP will work closely with the VP of IT, serving as a backup and providing expertise in both the data/application and technology/networking aspects of IT.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Support & Planning
- Collaborate with the VP of IT to develop and execute IT strategies that align with the company’s goals.
- Assist in managing the organization’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, computers, and communication systems.
- Assist in the planning and execution of major IT projects and initiatives.
- Support the design and development of enterprise applications and data management systems.
- Ensure the integrity, security, and quality of data across all platforms.
- Support the implementation of cybersecurity measures and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide insights and analytics to help business units make data-driven decisions.
- Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of IT policies and best practices.
- Any and all assignments to reach Capital Funds 1’s goals.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in IT, with strong knowledge in both application development and IT infrastructure.
- Experience with cloud computing, data analytics, and cybersecurity.
- Proven ability to work at a strategic level with senior leadership.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth understanding of current technology trends and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across the organization.
- Ability to work independently and support the VP of IT in key decision-making processes.
Certifications
- Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or CISSP are advantageous.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily office-based, on-site with some travel required.
- Role may require extended hours during critical projects or issues.
