CHARLOTTE KNIGHTS - GUEST SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE - PART-TIME/GAME DAY
The Guest Services Representative will play an integral role in game day operations and is responsible for providing excellent customer service to all guests at BB&T Ballpark. The ideal candidate will be a team player with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. This is a part-time/game day position. The candidate will be expected to work the majority of home games throughout the season. Multiple individuals may be hired to fulfill this role.
Prepare guest services booth for game time and operate the booth for the entire game, including cleaning the area, putting out signage and collateral and restocking the desk
Assist in vendor relations and set up of game day concourse layout as needed
Support the promotions staff by registering contestants and distributing prizes to winners
Manage check-in for pre-game activities (first pitches, Dream Teams, National Anthem, etc.)
Generate positive public relations by resolving guest issues, concerns and complaints as needed
Communicate directly via team-supplied, two-way radio with appropriate Knights’ staff members
Create, foster and maintain BB&T Ballpark’s reputation for excellent customer service
Implement ballpark rules, regulations, policies and procedures
Anticipate game-related issues and appropriate solutions
Maintain a working knowledge of ballpark layout, activities and general information
Answer a variety of questions regarding BB&T Ballpark such as locations of restrooms, First Aid, seating sections, concession items, etc. in a polite and respectful manner
Represent the Knights professionally at all times
Provide general administrative support to ballpark staff
Other duties assigned by management
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to interact with a variety of people such as fans, staff, senior-level management, professional athletes, media personnel, etc.
Quick problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must have reliable transportation to and from BB&T Ballpark
Working knowledge of baseball is preferred but not required
