Confluent Medical Technologies is growing! We're looking for a Production Supervisor, Swing Shift (4:00 pm to 12:30 am) to join our Fremont, CA team! You may be just who we are looking for!
As Production Supervisor, you will:
Direct and coordinate all day to day production activities through staff to attain production goals consistent with cost, quality, reliability and delivery requirements while fostering and promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Ensure conformance to all established procedures and work activities including auditing production areas identifying non-compliance to requirements, and developing and executing plans for corrective action.
Leverage Lean Manufacturing and Process Excellence methods.
Ensure for inventory (WIP, floor stock, etc) is adequate to meet schedule requirements while minimizing investment and obsolescence exposure.
Make timely, clear, and accurate decisions that lead to effective implementation of new ideas or improvements.
Respond to changing priorities with minimum disruption to production and employees.
Report to and communicate with Value Stream Manager to ensure that production runs smoothly and production issues are addressed quickly.
Compiles, retrieves, and stores production and quality data. Reviews and analyzes data and makes
recommendations and implements changes based on data.
Develop and implement value stream manufacturing techniques and leverage Lean Manufacturing
and Process Excellence methods.
Create and revise business practice documentation as appropriate.
Suggest and implement changes in floor layouts and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Federal, State, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures, including Health, Safety and Environmental compliance
Be responsible for all aspects of employee performance include interviewing, hiring, and
training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising
performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and
High school diploma or equivalent. BS in an Engineering discipline is a plus.
Minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience in a regulated manufacturing environment using production and quality control techniques such as CFM, JIT, TQM, CIM, etc.
Medical device industry experience a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A systematic and analytical approach to solving problems by researching and evaluating alternative solutions.
Ability to read blueprints,schematics, and drawings.
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification a plus.
