Performance Technical Sales, a Manufacturer’s Rep firm is hiring an Outside Sales Representative for Alabama, Mississippi, Western and Central Tennessee territory.

Performance Technical Sales, an established electronic component manufacturer’s rep firm, is a leading provider in the electronic component industry. PTS is an integral partner with our manufacturers and customers offering a comprehensive line of electronic components, interconnects and electro-mechanical products. We provide quality solutions for OEMs, distributors, fabricators, and end-users in the industrial, construction, agricultural, military, aerospace and transportation industries.

As our Outside Sales Representative, you will drive new business with existing and new customers. With a consultative approach, you will drive design wins for our manufacturers in our customer’s end products. Your technical expertise will provide solutions that meet or exceed our customer’s requirements. Reporting to the President, you will join a team of professionals dedicated to driving successful relationships and solutions.

Work independently and effective from a home office environment.
Establish and build professional relationships with Key Accounts.
Manage the sales process with proactive prospecting, qualification, management and progression of sales leads and prospects.
Demonstrate a consultative approach to make recommendations with existing customers and principals.
Coordinate the resolution of customer concerns.
Experience with overall project planning and scheduling with high level ability to plan and accomplish desired results.
Provide local training and technical applications support to (our distributors) and customers.
Manage and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction within existing account base.
Qualify lead opportunities through referrals, networks, trade shows, and web resources.

3+ years of Technical Sales experience.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
A sincere motivation to help customers solve problems.
Proven success at building rapport and possess the ability to provide solutions for customer and drive revenue growth.
Demonstrate a consultative approach and ability to make effective recommendations to company prospects.
Able and willing to travel up to 30% (some overnight travel).
Confident, hunter mentality with a strong work ethic.

Performance Technical Sales will reward your talents with a base salary of $65K plus commission to $150K+. Benefits to include Major Medical and 2-3 weeks paid vacation and holidays.
