POSITION TITLE: Children’s Activities Coordinator

LOCATION: Country Club of Landfall

POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Design, develop and implement programs and events for members’ and guests’ children in conjunction with Children’s Activities Director.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
Excellent time management and people management skill set with effective communication skills, event planning and management skills, creative and innovative program development abilities, awareness of current trends in children’s interests and club trends, computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Word and Publisher, Member/Guest satisfaction oriented with ability to multi-task in fast paced environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT:
Professional, high pace Country Club environment, exposure to outdoor environment as private events or member events dictated, including but not limited to: golf course, tennis, pool or sports center needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Works in conjunction with Children’s Activities Director to conduct interviews, train, supervise, schedule and evaluate children’s program staff as needed.
  • Plans, monitors and supervises activities.
  • Works with parents and children to plan and evaluate on-going educational and entertainment programs.
  • Provides quality service to all members and staff.
  • Organizes and plans birthday and holiday parties for the members’ children in conjunction with Children’s Activities Director.
  • Produces children’s communications for members, including the monthly and weekly children’s events schedule and reminders.
  • Ensures that all promotional materials are current.
  • Interacts with other departments to promote youth programs.
  • Must be able to develop uniquely creative and innovative programs and events.
  • Performs other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Children’s Activity Director.
  • Participate and lead high energy physical activities often with multiple children at once.
  • Lift, carry, and transport materials including, large panels, bins, furniture, etc.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

  • Reports Directly To: Director of Children’s Activities
  • Also Reports To: None.
  • Directly Supervises: Children’s Activities Staff as well as children as needed in programs and events.
  • Working Relationships: Works with the Director of Children’s Activities, CCL parents, and children to implement successful children’s programs.

POSITION WORKDAY REQUIREMENTS

In a workday, this position requires the following activities:

Sitting, standing, walking, squatting, bending kneeling, reaching, twisting, crawling, stair climbing, lifting items 60 lbs or less, carrying, pushing, pulling.

  • Lifting Storage Containers up to (100lbs)
  • Moving/Sliding furniture and Ladders
  • Properly handling box cutters, scissors and hot glue guns.

This is a high volume, fast paced private club environment. It is every employee’s responsibility to know knowledge of how to operate any tools and equipment prior to use.

Attendance Requirements

Attendance Requirements for this position: this is a full time position requiring 5 plus days per week. Late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays maybe requirements of this role.
