Summary

This position will be the first point of contact for users with IT questions and requests. Will provide support for help desk issues, computer support/setup/troubleshooting, and end-user training. The IT Help Desk Support position will also handle inventory management, as well as support copiers/printers, ERP/Scanning devices, and A/V equipment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Help desk support for all internal users. Will be responsible for setting up an actual help desk email/ticketing system for first level calls. Handle day-to-day small purchases to include monitors, mouse/keyboard, copier toners, etc.
  • Provide asset management of PCs, iPads, Printers, Copiers, etc. to include inventory of related hardware and software.
  • Provide patching and updates of PCs, iPads, Printers, Copiers, etc.
  • Handle training of employees on applications, cyber-security, etc. under the guidance of IT Director.
  • Assist with iPad management
  • Handle day-to-day copier management and interactions with supplier.
  • Daily support of ERP/scanning devices.
  • Daily support of A/V equipment, including training for employees on use.
  • Backup network administrator for user setup, security changes/requests, and vendor contacts.
  • Develop onboarding and training procedure for new employees
  • Other duties as requested by management.

Competencies

  • Previous experience in a help desk/IT support position is required.
  • Proven troubleshooting ability is a must.
  • Customer service skills and ability to work with a diverse workforce on many levels.
  • Sense of urgency and attention to detail to provide high-level accuracy and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Education: Minimum of 2-year technical degree in Information Technology. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Proven ability to work through the troubleshooting process when presented with difficult issues.

Computer Skills – Strong understanding of laptop/desktop hardware and software, related accessory/peripheral setup, printers, copiers, user setups, cybersecurity/anti-virus, and Microsoft Office 365 applications. iPad experience is a plus along with a general understanding of Microsoft Dynamics AX.

Physical Demands – Will be required to lift and carry PCs, Monitors, and other equipment as needed including up and down steps.

Work Environment – Willingness to work in a mix of office, warehouse, and manufacturing environments as needed.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have proven experience working in a Help Desk or PC Support role. Basic network administration skills are a plus along with the ability to setup and configure new PCs, laptops, printers, and related peripherals. A general understanding of corporate networks in a multiple site configuration is important. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX would be a plus!
